As an anthropologist and archaeologist I am fascinated by how people engage with the natural environment and the consequences of that interaction. Art enables me to communicate how I see this relationship from broad strokes to the details of light and dark. I want my paintings to touch a person visually and emotionally. I paint primarily with pastels and am learning oils and gouache
