Oil Painting

501 E. Campus Avenue, Chestertown, 21620

Betty McClintock is a life-long painter, still going strong at one hundred years old. As a younger woman, she specialized in portraits and representational landscapes, delighting in nuance and fine details. When vision problems developed, Betty sadly put away her paints and brushes until moving to Heron Point about five years ago. Encouraged by its thriving arts community, she once again set up her easel and found a new, more expressionistic style. Her Heron Point work has concentrated on large oil paintings of the wild flowers and gardens she’s seen – or imagined – during life and travel in many parts of the world.
