Breon is a proficient practitioner of the metal arts, in tune with the physical capabilities and limits of her materials; welding, forging, and hammering steel and found objects into novel forms and relationships; she makes sculptural forms and functional objects. Her inner world of invention invites viewers to explore the various surfaces; through visual quotation, discovery and delight-in-making, comes a sense of awe, of “being” in the world.
